  • Went to the restaurant years ago when it first opened and that was a dreadful experience. Thought the cafe might be better so decided to breakfast there this morning. Nothing has changed... The service was poor. The waiter made a mistake with our order, and when I pointed out that a key ingredient was missing from one of the dishes, I was told it was on my plate so I was the one who was wrong! It took three goes to explain that I ordered smoked salmon with scrambled eggs AND eggs royale... The food also arrived before the drinks. It was a pity our experience was such as the food when it arrived was OK. One point in their favour is that they seem to be prompt in organising the bill!

  • Lovely restaurant and food just found it somewhat rude when we entered and spoke to the young lady on reception ,she said that there was a 'two hour window' so would have to leave then and this was even though the restaurant was practically empty when we arrived and not a lot busier when we left!!! Think she could have been more polite!!!

  • Can’t recommend it. The food was ok but the service was awful. One food order was forgotten – we had to re-order for it twice until they got a move on and by that time the rest of the people had practically eaten their food or it was cold. Several people served us and only one guy actually apologized. Staff where poorly trained and definitely had no manners. We had to beg to get a bit of butter and jam to eat the toast. If I spend £140 on a Sunday brunch I expect to get a good service. This place is not worth your money!

  • Dreadful meal. And a dreadful experience. We ate there on Saturday 20th march. Table for 4 booked for 8.30PM. We were seated at 8.50 after some considerable stressful argument. Seems they were 'running late with the tables.' Starter of Scallop Thermidor arrived after 55 minutes - cold. Imagine congealed cheese around virtually raw spinach positioned over a luke warm scallop. Sent it back. Second attempt arrived 3 minutes later - clearly microwaved. Tasteless. Disgusting. An offense to the palate. Main course - Beef wellington arrived after 45 minutes. Cold. Called waitress - said 'This meal is cold and inedible' to which she replied witha blank expression 'Why'. The place was too full and unable to cope with the sheer weight of numbers. Getting to the loo was a struggle. Like forcing your way through a crush of rugby players in a budget perfume store. So the experience was one never to be repeated. If its good food and good service you want in a pleasing environment - then the Bluebird in Chelsea is not for you.
