I have to be honest this review is probably one of the hardest to write. I live local go Bufi so it's easy to visit. On an evening you can park on the main East Finchley High Road if needed but it's a really short walk from East Finchley tube.

Upon entering the restaurant it has a lovely feel and very Italian vibe about the furniture and decor.

The reason why I find it so hard to rate is the service is so hit & miss. The actual waitress was lovely however she seemed to only have one other waiter helping and a fairly busy evening meant we had to wait a little to order and also a while for drinks. But as I mentioned the staff were very lovely so it was hard to be frustrated.

The food came very quickly and all 3 of us absolutely loved the food. I am massive fan of the polenta chips with garlic mayo. Then I had the lasagne, it did lack in meat a little bit but the overall flavours were delicious.

My friend had a pizza which looked amazing and my gluten free friend had the gnocchi which she said was really delicious too.

I picked Bufi because it does gluten free but unfortunately they had ran out of gluten free pizza so I'd recommend calling in advance if you have an allergy or intolerance.

Food price is around £10-£16 for a main course.

Overall I am a big fan of local independent restaurants and I went for a delicious meal and that's what I got. I just think they need to improve service of staff numbers a little.

I will be returning still especially for the polenta chips!

We were not in our usual manor, having just seen a film at the Phoenix cinema, but friends had mentioned this restaurant, so we thought we'd try it. Bufi was packed at lunchtime, which is always a good sign. The kids menu had a good range of main courses, which were preceded by an amazing take on dough sticks – arriving in an elaborate metal vase. The adults all had pizzas and they were some of the best any of us had eaten in a long while, with generous toppings and thin bases. The atmosphere was friendly and the staff helpful on the whole, but I'm taking off a star for the ridiculously loud music. We asked them to turn it down as we couldn't hear ourselves talk, but it was cranked up again very quickly. Definitely got the impression that this was more for the entertainment of the staff than the customers. It's a shame as it slightly puts us off going back.

Lovely small Italian restaurant with a warm, family atmosphere and good food.... I'll definitely come back.
