Business is still brisk at Cha Cha Moon, but standards can be irritatingly inconsistent. We’ve been served a bland dish of chiu chow rice cakes, topped with pickled turnip and minced beef, and overcooked Taiwan noodles with brisket of beef and mustard greens – though with its seductive hint of five-spice powder, this dish was delicious. We also liked the sichuan wun tun, filled with prawns and chicken, which was pepped up by a garlicky chilli sauce. But it was the Wen Wen cocktail, a mix of peach and raspberry with a dash of vodka, that stole the limelight.
Service has improved of late and the staff now seem more engaging.
