  • Crispy duck salad was a bag of supermarket salad leaves upended carelessly onto a plate, punctuated with bone dry scraps of over cooked duck and drowned in a cloyingly sweet and inauthentic dressing. Yellow lamb curry was fine, although the grit of unwashed coriander stems reflected the general carelessness of the cooking. Chicken dumplings were wrapped in an overly thick coating but tasted good. Overall an unsatisfying experience and far worse than I remembered

  • Really wish I'd have read the reviews before going here. Should have really known as everywhere else in soho was a 30 minute wait yet Cha Cha Moon had loads of tables. Really is a poor mans wagamama, the Thai curry tasted like hot water with curry powder mixed in. I'd recommend persevering with the queue down the road at Busaba or failing that nip to the corner shop and invest 69p on a beef pot noodle, you'll enjoy a far more authentic and all round tastier experience

  • I went to Cha Cha Moon with a friend last night. The food was bad and the service was appalling. We were warned when we ordered that the food 'would arrive as soon as it's ready'. Our mains were served separately, with a 30-minute gap. The noodles were tasteless and unappealing. The duck salad at £8.50 ended up being pieces of duck with a couple of lettuce leaves. I had to ask for tap water twice as my order was blatently being ignored. The waiter finally swung ONE glass of water across the table as he dashed passed. At this rate, we might have had better service at a fast food joint. Not going back, that's for sure!

  • I took a colleague out for lunch to Cha Cha Moon and I have to say, I was very disappointed with their food and service. I ordered a vegetarian noodle dish and my colleague ordered a seafood udon dish, both of which appeared on our tables overcooked and looked as if they had been drenched in a sloth of oil and soya sauce and it tasted absolutely bland. We didn't eat anything on our plates and had to ask the waiter to clear rthe dishes. The waiters are so poorly trained or not trained at all, that they didnt even bother to ask what the food was like and why we hadn't eaten anything? We ended paying £11 for a main and a drink and walked out to the next sandwich shop to grab a bite. This place has become popular in recent times but the food and service were an absolute let down. I had the most horrible experience at this restaurant and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Boycott Cha Cha Moon

  • First and last time at cha cha moons.I was absolutely appalled by the service, 3 noodle dishes arrived 30 seconds after we had placed the order so naturally we didn't think it was for us as had ordered starters. The waitress was so rude and made it clear she was really annoyed when we realised one of the plates must be ours even though no sign of starters? 'But you just said this wasn't yours' (and sighed!) I have never had such poor service, and when we mentioned it on departure they explained it was because it was so busy. Manners don't cost anything! Left irriatated and the food was pretty poor anyhow - disappointed with my main but the starters were ok. DO NOT GO HERE!!

  • first time at cha cha moons on visit to the theatre. Starter was ok but main course was brought up with the starter and the main course which was thai chicken curry tasted like watered down curry powder. Considering it was not not that busy our plates were whipped away as soon as we moved them. Would not reccomend and would not return.

  • I have never bothered to review a meal before, but was moved to do so today following what was probably the worst food I have ever had in a restaurant. Truly inedible - and when I said so at the end of the meal the waiter didn't offer any apology, which added insult to injury. Yes its cheap, but any amount would be too much for the food I was served today.

  • If you're looking for somewhere for a quick bite then this is the place. Although service is important its not always the case. The fact that the food is prepared fresh and cooked to order. No microwaves so its not your typical Chinatown equivalent. But on the positive side the food quality is better than average. I don't know why all the negative reviews. Yes, prices have gone up but I wouldn't say its overpriced even the wines are still reasonably priced. I've been a regular since and not had problems with service. I'd recommend to friends and family.

  • Terrible place, avoid at all costs. Mushy, overcooked noodles, flavourless sauce and dry duck. Amazingly manages to be worse than Wagamama, quite a feat!
