With its wooden bar and floor, and overhead ceiling fans, Chimes looks like something from Colonial Britain, and serves the kind of hearty, traditional British dishes old colonials would probably approve of. Filling pies – including the wonderfully named Fidget Pie (gammon, and apple) – washed down with a good range of ciders, are the restaurant's signature dishes, but you'll also find such favourites as liver and bacon, fish and chips, and bangers and mash.
