Daphne

My favourite restaurant in London and one where I have taken guests visiting for different countries who have all really appreciated the food. A wonderful atmosphere and Greek food at its best. The main challenge is picking between their classic dishes - moussaka and klefticon are my favourites. Those who order the fish or meat mezedes will not believe how many courses arrive.

It sounds like your reviewer caught the restaurant on an off day. I am not usually a fan of Greek food and have never been motivated to make comment before but I have ALWAYS been pleasantly surprised at how good the food is at Daphne's. It one of the few Greek restaurants I frequent. The skewers are juicy and well seasoned (not tough, dry and burnt like many other places). I also find their menu has some interesting dishes with delicious and unusual flavor combinations that are not featured in a standard high street Med restaurant. Please don't let the review put you off. I have no relation to the restaurant. I just felt I needed to speak up for one of my favorite local restaurants in Camden.

The best of the Greek restaurants in Camden.. great food, lovely people and delicious food! We've been coming here for years and its never let us down.. prices are reasonable too!

I have been going to this family restaurant for 25 years!! The mezes are just sensational. In fact, I think it is some of the best value food in London. It has a lovely atmosphere too and the service is excellent.
