  • This was by far the worst burrito I have ever had. The over-all combination of fatty meat, bone, feather stems, and coleslaw meant my wife and I both only ate about £5 worth of our £9.50 burritos (which was £5 too much). If it weren't so over-priced I probably wouldn't take the time to write a review; however, I'm still feeling the sting of splurging on something that was supposed to be great and has instead left me hungry and irritated. From now on I'll be sticking to Chilangos - not only is it better priced, but it's a better product with far better customer service.

  • Not good at all. Just bad burritos

  • Was looking forward to finally going to DbB but was shocked by the prices. Yes the food is decent and I didn't find the service as bad as others have said but £12 for a burrito and some tortilla chips is extortionate. Compared to Luardo's, Chilango's or Chipotle, this is insane. All three are as good (if not better) and almost half the price. Unless they knock at least £4 off the price, there is no way I'd go back.

  • I was really excited about visiting Death by Burrito, but found it very diappointing and will not be recommending this place to friends... I must have had different waiter to those who wrote the other reviews. Ours, wearing a cardigan unbuttoned to the navel, was incredibly rude. Somehow, we were rushed, pressured, and ignored all at the same time. He was seemingly too hip to care. This attitude was completely unwarranted given that the food was mediocre at best. For £12, I would have expected a much better burrito and, as below, the cocktails were more like shots. Death by Burrito should really pull their socks up given that London has a growing number of quality burrito places.

  • The "cocktails" should come with a warning that they are actually shots, which might actually be complimentary to the overpriced miniscule "cocktails". The bar staff were seemingly mocking us as the prepared themselves relatively large, normal sized, cocktails as I watched on trying to nurse my 0.5ml of liquid. At one point I spilt a drop on the table, and felt I needed to lick it up at fear of wasting half my drink. The gentleman that served us was extremely nice and charming, but the staff behind the bar were rude, arrogant and full of the faux-Williamsburg attitude I have become accustom to in Shoreditch. Please don't drink here, just go across the street or next door if you want a better experience.

  • I read a lot of negative reviews of Death By Burrito but decided to give it a go anyway and I'm so glad I did. It was incredible! Food was delicious and quick, staff were lovely and great atmosphere inside. Reasonable prices (£12 for Burrito that comes with nachos) and some really tasty cocktails!!!

  • Generally the staff are not overly attentive and it was difficult to flag down one of the many people working behind the bar even though we were early and they were doing nothing. The drinks were alright when we finally received them, with decent wine. Our waiter was the friendliest member showed us to the table and presented the small menu, containing small plates as well as the above averagely priced burrito/taco menu. The beef option should come with a warning about heat - I can take it, but my fellow diners were struggling to eat it due to the chilly. The pork was very average, even a bit tasteless with a heap of crackling on the top. I resorted to eating the vegetables and the corn chips which comes with each meal. During the time, we were being stared at constantly by the other members of staff, which was very unnerving and was hurried out to make way for the next party. All in all I would not recommend - the staff were not very attentive (with the exception of one), the drinks were very small and the food was simply not good, and a bit too expensive for what it was.

  • Very disappointing first visit. Waited 3/4 of an hour for a table, then waited an hour for food, which incidentally, never arrived? On the upside the meeter & greeter was a lovely guy, but won't be rushing back...

  • The food was good but £12 seems a bit steep for a burrito - I've had equally good burritos elsewhere in London for half that price. And we had to wait an hour for our food - not worth travelling for!
