Been coming here for 3 years and a great asset to the area. A consistently humble little restaurant where you can relax and get away from it all for a few hours. Great local.

Entrée, a Modern British, French-influenced bar and restaurant with Antipodean leanings, has proved a winning formula within the Clapham Junction/Battersea Rise nexus of bars and diners. The food has flair and the list of wines available by glass and carafe is remarkably extensive; yet both sit in the shadow of the carefully crafted atmosphere. The focus of activity, and source of considerable volume, is the speakeasy piano bar downstairs. Thus the evening clientele is youthful, or at the very least young enough at heart to feel at home among bare boards, half-naked walls, casual and decidedly hip waiting staff, and bouncing noise. Cocktails are almost de rigueur – we were asked half a dozen times, while perusing the menu, whether we would like ‘water or something else’ to start. Having resisted, we were nonetheless treated to an amuse-bouche – a well-crafted soup and herb-scented roll. Among an adventurous set of ‘entrées’, tunnel-boned quail turned out to be a brightly flavoured spatchcock; by contrast, a main course 35-day aged rump of Cumbrian shorthorn, while markedly tender, was oddly light on flavour (though thrice-cooked crunchy chips and a wonderfully zesty béarnaise soothed any disappointment). For dessert, a chocolate fondant was just as it should be after the statutory 12-minute wait. Such elegance of presentation and taste means that even the not-so-young will leave without feeling short-changed.

We've been to Entree a few times, and it's sadly variable - despite some out-standing meals, this last time almost everything, whether the menu stated it or not, was doused in truffle oil. My dessert looked great, good flavour combinations, but the balance was wrong - you could only taste one of the four ingredients - in the bitter chocolate delice, the ice-cream was half melted and the blood orange sauce, which should have nicely cut through the rich chocolate, simply had no taste. My main course of beef ragu was wonderful - the pasta actually had its own flavour and was really well cooked, but my husbands pork although fantastically succulent was covered in some extremely odd sauce and the potatoes with it were stodgy and cold. The menu card looks so inviting - guests really want you to live up to it - it's sad when you don't especially when we recommend you and then get bad feed back from friends. Having nowhere to hang coats in such a time space means that you're constantly jostled by others guests or waiters trying to get to other tables and standing on your coat. The staff are friendly but rushed - it's a mixed bag, but get it on a good day, and it's a great, just be prepared for what might happen if you get it on a a bad day.
Absolutely great evening. Lovely food, staff, service and atmosphere. This has to be one of London's best value for money places to eat, especially given the food and service is so good. Highly recommend it!
Just had a fantastic work lunch - over 20 people - at Entree. The food was amazing, the service superb and environment just perfect. I have received lots of ‘thank you’ emails from the team saying how much they loved the restaurant. Highly recommend this restaurant!
Excellent menu, superb food and conscientious waiting staff. Despite it being a Sunday afternoon in the holidays, it wasn't overcrowded or too loud, just reassuringly busy. You'd be hard-pushed to find another such well-executed and inspired menu for such a reasonable price. Even the less-formal lunch menu was perfect for a birthday celebration, and the staff were particularly impressive, always on-hand and friendly, but not too chatty or overbearing. Highly recommended
I haven't been to entree for a while as I relocated, but once again I was really happy with my visit. From a very attentive and knowledgable staff to well executed dishes, entree ticks all the boxes. It's certainly my favourite restaurant in south London! I'll definitely come back very soon
Love. Foods a winner every time. Service perfection. Cocktails are the best in the area. Environs hard to beat.
Felt this place was making so much more effort then the faceless chains that seem to be everywhere around this neck of the woods. Service was well informed and swift. Food very well presented. deserves to make it.
Was here last night. Lovely layout, lively with piano and singing downstairs. Had liver and veal. Nice but nothing special. Very small portion. Wine was nice. Expensive list though. And the food in general was quite expensive especially for what you're getting. Fantastic waiting staff though. All smiles.
Love this place so much. It is so much more of an overall experience in comparisons to anything else in the area, quality cocktails before hand in antique glassware in the lower ground bar, fantastic rosette standard food upstairs in the restaurant and live jazz throughout the evening. Not overpriced at all.
West end cooking for local pricing. Great flavours even our very fussy eating teenagers said it was amazing. Staff always on top form. The additional benefit of having a speakeasy style bar with piano underneath tops off a great night out.
