The only vegetarian diner in London - and one that wouldn't look out of place in New York - Eat & Two Veg offers breakfasts, burgers, salads and other dishes cooked using meat substitutes. A new branch has just opened at 74-76 Westbourne Grove, W2.

Tom Conran's take on a New York-style diner offers imaginative burgers, shakes and sundaes done very well. The space is cramped, but the waiters are pretty cool.

A proper restaurant that specialises in burgers, made from top-quality beef, tuna, chicken etc. Served in a big ciabatta with proper bite and texture - or with no bun at all.
