    Artisan
    This elegant restaurant located in the Westbury Hotel is serving a traditional four-course Christmas lunch, a steal at £59.99 a head. Indulge in a rich seafood bisque or wild mushroom consommé, followed by roast turkey and Westbury plum pudding.

    Brown’s Hotel
    The Brown’s Grill is producing a five-course lunch, preceded by champagne and canapés. The menu offers enticing options such as a crisp roulade of calves’ sweetbreads and velouté of white coco beans and winter truffles. Lunch costs £220 for adults, and a smaller dinner menu costs £85 for three courses or £95 for four.

    Brumus
    This restaurant inside the Haymarket Hotel is open for Christmas lunch, costing £85 per person. The four-course menu includes champagne, canapés, and dishes such as cep and truffle risotto or roast Norfolk turkey.

    Christmas Lunch Cruise
    DINING ON THE THAMES
    For a refreshing change, spend Christmas Day on the Thames with City Cruises. The ‘RiverLiner’ sets sail at 12.30pm with a three-course traditional lunch served on board. The cost? £89.50 a head, Christmas crackers included.

    Cinnamon Club
    Chef Vivek Singh is serving an unconventional three-course lunch menu including sandalwood-spiced chicken, masala mash and saffron-braised lamb shank . There’s even Christmas pudding, scented with cardamom. Price: £75 per person.

    City Café

    City Café is serving a three-course traditional Christmas menu from noon priced at £62 for adults, £29 for children aged 8-14, and free for children under 8. There’s also a family Christmas package for £69 per person (£35 for children under 14) that includes a private room and light entertainment.

    Cookbook Café
    A traditional three-course Christmas lunch and dinner will be served from noon-6pm and 7pm-10pm respectively. It costs £55 per person, and includes a welcome glass of champagne, plus party crackers, music and Santa for the under-12s (who pay only £25).

    £175 will get you a stunning six-course menu, which includes steamed mousseline of dover sole, roast loin and daube of venison and bronze turkey. The view over Hyde Park comes free.

    Langtry’s
    The £120 four-course lunch menu at this Knightsbridge restaurant includes wine with every course and tempting dishes such as cured cranberry and vodka salmon and pan-roasted halibut with champagne sauce.

    Little Bay
    BEST CHEAP XMAS EATS
    Give your wallet a break and make for this popular eatery. The £28 five-course set menu is served from 12noon-6pm. Other branches in Battersea, Kilburn, Fulham and Croydon will also be open.

    Take advantage of the fact that this excellent gastropub is open 365 days a year and head down for a scrummy Christmas Day lunch. A four-course menu will be served at £75 per person.

    Maze
    Maze’s Christmas lunch costs £125 for five courses or £165 for eight; a simpler dinner costs £125, with decadent ingredients including foie gras, oysters and smoked salmon. At night there will be a Santa magician to provide light entertainment.

    140 Park Lane
    This restaurant and bar will be open all Christmas Day. In addition to the Yuletide regulars, the £99 lunch menu (served from 12noon-3pm) offers lobster salad and pan-fried monkfish, not forgetting the tea, coffee and mince pies to finish.

    Gary Rhodes’ brasserie inside The Cumberland hotel (not be confused with the fine dining restaurant of the same name) is serving a four-course Modern British meal that includes interesting dishes such as quail and baby leek terrine and Christmas pudding with warm syruped kumquats. In addition there’s also a dedicated vegetarian menu; both set meals cost £75 each per person.

    The Winter Garden
    This stunning restaurant stands at the base of the Landmark Hotel’s glass-roofed atrium and will be serving a three-course lunch, and a four-course dinner. For £165 and £100 a head respectively, both come with a glass of Taittinger champagne and music from harp and piano.

    Nauroz
    This family-run Pakistani restaurant is serving meat, vegetable and fish curries with the only concession to Christmas being spicy turkey. Main courses cost between £3 and £9 and it runs a BYO policy with no charge for corkage.

    Number Twelve
    Enjoy the contemporary menu at this new restaurant and bar at the Ambassadors Bloomsbury hotel, with dishes such as seared yellow fin tuna and carnaroli risotto with pecorino cheese. It costs £45 for the four-course lunch, and £25 for two-courses for children under 12.

    The Vine
    BEST FOR FAMILIES
    This laidback gastropub is opening its doors for lunch, and serving three courses for £39.50 (£20 for children). There’s traditional turkey, vegetarian tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and Mediterranean fish stew. A deposit is required when booking.

    Linger over a three-course lunch with a river view at this stalwart. Choose to dine in the main restaurant for £75 per person, or opt for a more casual lunch, priced at £45 in the bar and grill. A deposit is required upon booking for the main restaurant.

    The Rosendale
    TIME OUT AWARD-WINNING GASTROPUB
    Enjoy a five-course lunch for £65 per person at this stylish but informal gastropub, where dishes will include home-smoked wild Alaskan salmon and Christmas pudding with brandy sauce.

    Tas Ev
    The smartest branch of this Turkish chain is housed in a railway arch near Waterloo. On December 25 the two set menus cost £21.50 and £24.50 per head, and feature all the usual meze dishes, followed by a choice of mains.

    The Narrow

    Hoxton Grille
    The Hoxton Grille is serving a traditional three-course lunch with a few twists for £55 from noon-6pm, with a complimentary glass of champagne or soft drink on arrival. A cheaper three-course menu is available from 7pm-9pm for £35 per person.

    The Narrow
    A choice restaurant to enjoy Christmas day lunch, with Gordon Ramsay’s emphasis on updating British food favourites. Options such as chicken liver pâté with own-made piccalilli, braised root vegetable pie and mash and pear and cinnamon crumble feature in a three-course menu for £60 per person.

    Sunborn Yacht Hotel
    This floating hotel is on a huge boat the size of a cruise ship, moored in Royal Victoria Dock. Lunch costs £75 adults, £35 kids.

    Chutney Mary
    Chutney Mary opens for lunch from 12noon-2:15pm with four courses priced at £68.50 per person. Options include spiced crisp soft-shell crab, tandoori raan (lamb leg) and broccoli and chestnut biryani.

    Warm up on Christmas day with Kiasu’s exotic dishes from the Malaysian Straits and the Far East.

    The Devonshire
    GORDON RAMSAY GASTROPUB
    Gordon Ramsay’s retro British gastropub opens for a three-course Christmas lunch, priced at £60 per person. Classics such as prawn cocktail, roast turkey and baked egg custard feature on the menu, finishing with coffee and mince pies.

    Lessandro
    The Mediterranean restaurant of the Kensington hotel Park City is serving Christmas lunch and dinner.

    One-Eight-One
    STYLE ON A BUDGET
    This boutique hotel will be serving a traditional lunch in its chic dining room. Three courses, with champagne and canapés, cost £45 per person. Dishes include house-cured salmon and cod with a Brazilian coconut sauce.

    The Roebuck
    The lively three-course menu includes ham hock soup and turkey, but it’s the desserts, such as iced pear parfait and Christmas pudding with mandarin sorbet, that truly stand out. It’s £65 for adults, £30 for children ten-15 , and there’s a separate menu for little ones under ten. There’s a £20 deposit per head when booking.
