Soho’s favourite pizza al taglio (by the slice) spot is a welcome addition to the Clerkenwell-Bloomsbury borderland. A generous hand with quality ingredients makes everything tempting, from mortadella focaccia sandwiches to calzone with red peppers and aubergine. Prices start at £3.50.

The Italians know how to do comfort food proper. As its name suggests, creamy risottos are Ooze’s unique selling point (though there are other options, from pasta to panini) and there’s flexibility in the menu – be it for budget- or weight-conscious diners. Half of the risotto options are available in ‘small’ portions which aren’t too tiny and delicious combinations include trevise, red onion and gorgonzola dolcelatte. Meal for two with wine and service: around £45. Read more

This duplex trattoria produces gorgeously puffy 12-inch thin crust pizzas. They’ve recently launched gluten-free pasta and pizza bases. The latter has only a slight brittleness and earthy tang betraying its wheat-free status. Look out for early bird specials such as three courses and a glass of champagne for £12. Pizza for two with drinks and service: around £20. Read more

ICCO Goodge St.- fantastic food, brilliant prices, great "diner" atmosphere. Go find it!
Please include the lunch deal at Tentazioni in your cheap Italian eats section - in the evening this is a high - end restaurant - and well worth the money - but at lunchtime 3 delicious courses are a bargain £15.
Italia Uno on Charlotte Street is a great panini place--most of the sandwiches are under 3 pounds, there are so many italians there on football nights that the crowd spills over into the street, and the owners are really nice. Definitely a better bargain than these options!
ICCO - italian coffee company - near Goodge Street - Great pizza, plain(cheese and tomato0 IS ONLY £3.50. a FEW TOPPINGS extra will be about £6. And it is great, coffee nice too.
there should be more options..............im never using this site ever.....ciao for now.................
Four places? There must be more than that! Updates!
since when is £45 for a meal for two a bargain?
there are goodish italians for half that in shoreditch tho can't remember their names!
