Perfect for a lazy Sunday morning brunch with friends, Fig & Olive hit a home run for us last weekend with a light, airy, big-and-small-person friendly environment, a menu that boasted table-leg-bowing sized roast dinners, platters of rainbow salads, cakes with names like 'Lumpy Bumpy Cheesecake' - presumably named after your post-dining appearance - and enough brunchy options to keep me happy for the next 52 Sundays.

Friendly service from smiling staff who seated us in seconds and found a high chair with ease, and an awesome breakfast-bubbles-fruit-salad-and-hot-drink for £15.50 option cemented my approval and in an area renowned for more gorgeous places to fill your face than you're ever likely to actually get round, that's saying something.

Portions were generous with the Baked Eggs - do not leave without trying a doorstep of the homemade walnut bread - and a Blueberry Pancake that resembled the love child of an American classic & a sweet flat French bread standouts; a laid back vibe, food to make you feel good and the potential for a post-dining amble along the quirky, charming, sunlit streets of Angel mean this is a place that should definitely find its way onto your London brunching checklist.

The food in this place is amazing. The service is top notch as well. My wife and I have been there many times and always find it very enjoyable and delicious.
