'Fika' is the delightful Swedish expression for a coffee break - a form of social interaction that Swedes take seriously. This Fika on Brick Lane is a casual Swedish-styled restaurant, on this site since 2008. The food combines traditional Swedish elements – right down to meatballs and gravadlax – with touches of flavour from sunnier climes. Much is made of foraging and seasonality, and there's a cocktail list with Scandinavian accents aplenty.

Perfect Fika in London !!!!
Food is so good and the staff is really kind.
A peaceful place in busy London.
Enjoy your Fika, enjoy your Fika London ;)
Adorable little oasis on Brick Lane ! The roof terrace is amazing, the food is delicious and creative, try the herring or the beetroot and birch starters !! I also really enjoyed the pastries (cinnamon buns !!!)
It's a great place to have a coffee and stay for a while with a book or to work and study during the week.
Love it !
Having not been to Fika before and being a Swede in London, my friends and I thought this would be a great stop after some strolling around Brick Lane. We had expected fika in the more "cakey" sense but after speaking to the waitress she informed me Fika is more of a restaurant (then why the name?!). My friend had a little banana fly in her icecream that came with the kladdkaka (sticky brownie cake) and only the ice cream was replaced and not the cake! I found the waitress extremely off-ish and the decor made no sense. Wasn't a traditional coffee house interior nor was it that of a restaurant. Just terribly confusing. Wouldn't recommend it and will probably not go there again.
If you are looking for a great coffee during the day when trawling around Brick Lane I would recommend. However, after going there for an evening meal recently I was really disappointed by the very average Swedish meatballs which were expensive and a very small portion for the price. Stick to the coffee!
Not great -- an odd atmosphere, uncomfortable chairs, and overpriced food. Teapigs tea is always a plus, though.
Far improved from the previous comments. Delicious food and a great Scandinavian atmosphere. Lovely staff-fully enjoyed my lunch!!
