I will clearly be biased here in that my love of Gin and the Barbican may mean this is through rose tinted glasses but this place is pretty cool. In the bar area, it feels a bit like a nice lounge you might sit, drink gin, have a chat and perhaps smoke a cigar...

The Gin selection is wicked and they'll happily recommend a gin. I wanted to try something different so the guy asked what I liked and suggested one to me. This is a great place to stop off for a drink prior to a show but I'm not so sure about food. We want a quick snack and it turned out to be tiny! Wish the waiter had told us it wouldn't do for two of us, let alone three!

It's also super pricey (even during happy hour!) so as near to payday is the best time to go!

The service was sluggishly slow in every aspect from being able to order to a forty minute wait between our starter nd main. They seemed surprised that we were not going to have dessert or coffee. I heard several disgruntled diners demanding to see management as they were very likely to be late for the evening performance due to ridiculously slow service. A big mistake. Never again.
