This Chinatown stalwart may be something of an eyesore, its bustling ground floor overly bright and garish (bag a table on the more atmospheric first floor if possible), but the food remains affordable and authentic.
A starter of deep-fried pork dumplings did little to stir the senses, but another of roll-your-own seafood lettuce wraps was a revelation, the leaves crisp and the egg-fried filling a rich mince of prawn, cod, squid and assorted vegetables.
Main courses of sweet and sour fish, and honey and lemon chicken managed to be big on flavour without any artificial aftertaste, the former packed with flaky pieces of cod, the latter benifiting from a gloriously moreish glaze.
Service was attentive without being intrusive.

The food was mediocre at best. A dish had to be sent back to due it being too salty. The service was painfully slow and the staff were extremely unfriendly. Paying took forever, and bill was written out by hand in such a way that it was very hard to read. After making sense of the bill and calculating it myself, I found out that I had been over charged for my meal. Never returning and wouldn't recommend it.
