  • Just to add - I thought the menu was quite dull. They had about 10 teas to choose from, and the usual coffee choices, but not much on the offering of a healthy nibble. I understand it's marketed as a tea and cake place, but It would have been nice to have seen a few appealing salads on offer, or some nutty healthy flapjack sort of things.

  • The place is pleasant enough to sit in, there are little teacups, fun things for your kitchen to buy as well as some tea scones...but I wouldn't come here again. The staff were polite enough, but the service just wasn't up to scratch. I came here on a quiet Sunday around 2pm with my mum. She ordered an earl grey with a slice of house special coffee cake; myself, a mocha coffee with a scone that comes with the usual clotted cream and jam. After a short while the tea, cake, and cream and jam arrived, but no scone, no coffee for me, and no milk for the tea yet. We waited around 5 or 10 minutes before my coffee, scone and mum's milk arrived. Should also note that staff didn't seem to notice the time that passed, as was no apology for the timing of food/drink arrivals... At first we had thought they had forgotten, as we saw two other tables get served and receive a few pieces... The coffee tasted like instant coffee. Wasn't expecting like really special stuff, but never the less was a bit disappointing after staring at a pot of cream and jam and thinking about when I could tuck into it. The scone was served warm...wasn't sure if had been heated up, or simply wasn't cooled down enough from making a fresh batch, it tasted good enough though. Like I said, it wasn't a terrible place to sit in; had a nice enough ambiance, pretty quiet, and I'm sure a lot of people would enjoy the presentation of real English printed teacups ect, but for me, the service and quality of coffee just didn't quite cut it for me, so I won't be returning or recommending to any friends.

  • LOVELY AMBIENCE, FREINDLY STAFF, HOWEVER ON EVERY OCCASSION, BY ABOUT 4PM THEY HAVE SOLD OUT OF SCONES - WHICH IS REDICULOUS SEEING AS THIS IS HYPED AS 'HIGH TEA.' ITS HAPPENED 3 TIMES NOW! AND WHEN I MENTION IT, THEY NEVER ACKNOWLEDGE IT'S A PROBLEM. DONT THINK MUCH OF THE HOME MADE CAKES, TOO SWEET, AND NOT INTERESTING, BUT FOR THE ATMOSPHERE, ITS WORTH GOING.

  • the place is nice and desserts and teas are delicious. I was let down because they say they're "children friendly" but they don't have high chair, the staff are not very helpful if you have a baby and the place is often packed and it's so hard to get in with a pram
