Sophisticated and refined... this place is not. But it's not trying to be.
The Bee Hive is cheap (pints under £3 - some under £2!) and attracts an 'eclectic' crowd (once saw a woman in a nighty wander in drinking special brew who promptly thrown out by other patrons).
Show me somewhere else in gentrifying Brixton where gig-bound rockers, Afro-Caribbean old men and workmen in high vis, sit shoulder-to-shoulder enjoying a 'burger-and-a-pint' for £5.50.
