We have been here 4 or 5 times for dinner and a few times for brunch. It's always excellent, the food is so tasty and the service great. Can't imagine when other reviewers have been as this is one of our favourite places in west london.

Just south of Ravenscourt Park, Kirsten and Nico (the café is named after their dogs), serve breakfasts, lunches and dinners that have been satisfying locals since 2007.
Customers are welcomed cheerily into the cosy split level dining room and instantly asked if they want something to warm up - with options of Monmouth coffee or tea from Teapigs. A range of cakes and pastries are all own-made and laid out temptingly on the counter.
For more substantial breakfasting, on weekday mornings, eggs are delicately poached or scrambled atop buttered sourdough toast and complemented by smoked salmon, flavourful pork and leek sausages or bacon. Meats are brought in from a nearby Chiswick institution, Macken Brothers Butchers.
On weekends, the breakfast menu gets upgraded to eggs Benedict, Royale, or roasted mushrooms for vegetarians. Pancakes come rolled around caramelised bananas and crisped back bacon, drenched generously with maple syrup.
From lunch, and more so for dinner, the menu changes to highlight the Argentinian and Kiwi roots of the owners. Chimichurri and Argentine steaks, New Zealand lamb and green-lipped mussels contribute to food with an international mix of influences.
The wine list continues on the patriotic bent, exclusively touring the proprietors' home country vineyards and including some well known Argentine vitners: Trapiche and Zapata. Bottles begin at £15 and climb from there on a steep trajectory.
A welcoming local for a bite at any time of the day.

A cautionary tale to anyone thinking of booking a party at Lola’s – don’t! The management have unreliable terms and conditions – changing it to suit their convenience at will. After booking a party I had to pay a large deposit which I was assured would only be retained if party’s number reduced significantly without notice. Fortunately, on the day, everyone arrived. Shockingly, as one person arrived unwell and was unable to eat, a portion of my deposit was retained !! We were a large party and overall spent a significant amount, but clearly Lola felt this was not enough! Food-wise, I would not recommend ‘The Big Pukka’ – big it is not! It was mediocre at best – I have had a more satisfying, and better value, cooked breakfast at my local transport cafe! Overall, what seemed as a promising venue turned out to be a disappointment.
Service with a frown, at least from the waitress serving our area. The tables still had crumbs scattered noticably. All eggs poached dry and rubbery, making my partner's dish of charred bacon and hard poached eggs particularly unpalatable. Shame, as we were looking forward to this one.
Far from one of London's best breakfasts, I'm afraid. The quality of the eggs and sausages was obviously quite poor. Nice place and staff though.
