Mao Tai, named after the celebratory Szechuan liquor, opens the Mao Bar & Restaurant which echoes the established style of Mao Tai. The Ethos is comfortable design and food which spans South East Asia, with an emphasis on China.
With a kitchen plucked straight from Hong Kong the overall mood at Mao Tai is relaxed and chic from dim sum, tempura, and crispy duck to regional curries & fresh fish. The menu covers Asia from Thailand to Japan via Malaysia & China. All time favorites such as tuna spring roll with ginger & coriander, asparagus & sweet potato tempura, creamy rock shrimp togarashi, crispy beef shreds, steamed salmon with ceviche dressing, sea bass with ginger & spring onions and aromatic duck with pancakes are readily available. Specialist ingredients are imported weekly from Asia and freshness and flavor are crucial to the menus diverse appeal.
