The Sydney Street Grill is a traditional grill just off the Fulham Road in South Kensington, specialising in classic steak cuts of finest Aberdeen Angus beef, as well as grilled and roast meats and fish dishes.

Open for lunch and dinner Monday to Saturday, the Sydney Street Grill is the third restaurant by the London Steakhouse Company, and sister restaurant to the Marco Pierre White Steak & Alehouse and the Kings Road Steakhouse & Grill.

I visited Sydney Street Grill with my friend for dinner last week and from the moment that we walked in the door, the service was not good and certainly not cheerful. There were only two other couples in the restaurant, yet when other people came in they were served much more quickly than we were and the food was not what one would expect of a restaurant in Chelsea at all. The duck starter was served with burnt, hard bread, the four cheese risotto was like a bowl of sick; luke warm and poorly presented and the sticky toffee pudding was served with cream and was utterly tasteless. The whole experience was awful and disappointing. Even the couple across from where we sat had to ask for our salt and pepper, as they were not provided with any. The service was very poor and my friend and I will sadly not be returning.
