Food is really bad, staff is unfriendly, the place is quit dirty, i have been in another mexican restaurants and this is the worst

As with most reviews, the reviewer can only ever taste a limited number of dishes. So while my girlfriend's fajitas were kind of like what you'd expect at any average Tex-Mex place, my mole chicken and ceviche (not together) were fantastic, way better than other Mexican places in London that have been vastly over-praised

This review is rubbish! Mercado's is my favorite bar ,there's always great atmosphere, the staff are really friendly and welcoming. Perfect for a few cocktails in the evening after work with friends or a lively start to your night, always buzzing on a friday or saturday. Food is great! exactly what you would want with a few mojitos! Maybe not for you if the bars you got to all serve Michelin star food... personally i haven't found any with dishes as good as this for all us regular people. As for the decor i think the kitsche mexican look fits perfectly with the atmosphere inside, and gives off a run relaxed feel. Definitely somewhere not to miss if your out and about in the area. When did time out get so up its self?!!

All low ratings for this place are WRONG! Friendly, pleasant, and more than helpful waiting staff; one of the best mojitos I've ever had; and the mole with chicken was SUPERB. Massive portions too. Excellent churros to finish. Try going for the traditional Mexican cuisine they have to offer, and you won't be disappointed. One of the most pleasant places in Stoke Newington.

Wow! Completely disagree. Am originally from a large Latino area in the US and have been eating at Mercado for years. Food is delicious and, while relatively pricey for Latin food, is delicious and some of the only authentic Mexican you can get in London. Service is friendly and the ambiance on a Saturday night is great. Look out for their cocktail specials and meal discounts!

A complete joke They allegedly do take away and delivery. Have not answered the phone once in the last month of trying. Don't bother - we ended up going there to try it and the food was terrible
