Still London’s most glamorous Moroccan restaurant, Momo attracts a fair smattering of beautiful people alongside couples on special dates, hen parties and business types. The soundtrack of classic Maghrebi beats and attractive young francophone waiting staff create a seductive buzz. Sexy Marrakech-style interiors, sparkling with light from intricately latticed mashrabiya-style windows and ornate metalwork lanterns, add to the allure. Tables are small and tightly packed, but somehow this rarely seems an imposition.

Enjoy deliciously light, carefully crafted starters such as juicy prawns wrapped in crispy shredded kataifi pastry with a sour-sweet mango and tomato salsa, or scrumptious pan-fried scallops with a piquant salsa verde, before moving on to Moroccan classics such as lamb tagine with pears and prunes. But the main attraction has to be the near-perfect couscous: silky fine grains served with vegetables in a light cumin-scented broth, with tender, juicy chicken, plump golden raisins, chickpeas and harissa – all served separately so you can mix them as you please.

Such delights coupled with a pricey wine list result in a hefty bill, so Momo needs to iron out the galling little niggles such as the shabby dark toilets and the occasionally inattentive service.

Gorgeous venue but totally let down by the poor service, you don't notice service if it is good, here you notice the service by the endless problems and issues.

We visited the place on two occasions. We were very impressed with the decor, the atmosphere was nice, the music varies, one time it was more modern, the other time the music was more authentic and fitting for the venue. On both occasions they played it too loud for a cafe. The service was shocking both times. The staff socialize with each other more then they do with customers, even though the place is half-empty. On the menu you are offered a tea refill, however the staff never comes around to ask if you would like a one, or to find out if everything is alright for that matter. The menu states that if you are ordering after 6 you must order food. Even though it was a quarter to 6 the waiter had the audacity to tell us we ought to order food with our tea and continued to push for an order after we pointed out it wasn't 6 yet. The prices were a bit too high for what you were getting. Moroccan tea was quite enjoyable, the hummus on the other hand not so great.

Beautifully decorated. Great atmosphere. Lovely food. But even though the staff were really friendly, the service was pretty poor. It took far too long to get our drinks, and when the bread was put on the table none of us got stuck in because our mouths were so dry. Our food also took too long, but the friendly waitress gave us a few complimentary starters to keep us going, which thought was very nice as we hadn't actually complained (yet). It's very pricey, and because of the service I feel it's not really justified. But saying that I would definitely go back, for the ambiance alone.

Had a fantastic Lunch at Momo. My table was in the terrace and the service was perfect. Enjoyed the Lunch set menu which is good value for money. I suggest the Momo special Cocktail for drinks , the food was delicious. I could only recomment the restaurant !

Very surprised that this is a top-rated restaurant. Food was okay, but fairly pricey. Staff varied from indifferent to belligerent. When approached with a complaint about staff the manager was dismissive. He clearly had no interest in listening to complaint, and clearly felt that the customer must be in the wrong. I am happy to oblige him by never returning.

Service was terrible, especially from the manager. Very arrogant. The disappointment in the service unfortunately ruined the experience.
