A refurbished former boozer, Mumbai Junction retains the furnishings of a traditional pub, save for the plethora of flatscreen TVs: a nod to its aspirations as a sports bar. This spacious, informal restaurant is a popular choice with young families, who come here for unpretentious, well-priced, mainly North Indian cooking. The menu offers a range of snacks as well as full meals – and the portions are huge. In addition to the usual array of curries, you’ll find a substantial selection of smoky tandoori bites and bar nibbles, including Indian-style Chinese dishes. Our meal was one of hits and misses. Although piping hot, vegetable bhajias were marred by dense, spongy gram-flour batter. Main courses had more in their favour. Fried garlicky minced lamb with green peas boasted a lively green-chilli and tomato kick. On the other hand, paneer makhani was a disappointment, with a soupy tomato sauce and chewy cubes of paneer. Service was slow on our visit. Cooking techniques and service need to be spruced up if this restaurant is to attract lasting local custom.

Cancelled a pre-booked birthday party of 40 a day before the event because they got another request of 30+ from another group! On top of this, they tell us we should change our party time to after their new customer's one Ian over. Ours turned out to be 40+ in the end...so now what? Disgraceful!!! I'm forced to give a start to post this but you don't even deserve a a fraction of it

Venue is good with plenty of parking, excellent food and service on very busy was fair. Menu selection was extremely very comprehensive an d well explained by the staff. They really took great care of us. The guests enjoyed the night.

We had booked the place for birthday celebration. Initial contact was with Raj. He helped us choose the best place for sitting a group of 20 people and all the menu for the night. On the night, service was good baring in mind the place was heaving with patrons. Food quality was excellent and left us with a taste which would invite us back in the future. Raj and his team looked after our every needs.

Clearly the reviewer knows very little about what real Indian food is. Mumbai Junction is as close to the food you will get in a restaurant in India as it can get in this country. I am not saying that is is the best, but it definitely is authentic. Try the chicken makhani, the maa ki daal and naan, the perfect meal. The tandoori stuff is phenomenal, as are the chicken lollipops. Don't order your local takeaway favourites here, as they are not authentic Indian foods. They are anglicised versions. For the authentic experience outside of Southall and Hounslow, go to Mumbai Junction.

What a load of rubbish! This place has no imagination of indian food and the staff are lazy. Re-vamp required. Good location but poor standards.
