Noodle Oodle

My friend from uni took me and I was impressed. I decided to take my boyrfiend only to find a staff member throwing up next to the chef making the noodles. Her response to our horrified faces was "sorry I'm sick". Never again.

I was there a few weeks ago. Had a large bowl of dan dan noodles and a plate of cold aubergine with szechuan pepper. Both completely delicious. As someone who loves real chinese food, I'll be coming in here every time I pass through the west end at lunch time for as long as the food remains authentic! No problems with the service for me - I was shown to a table, had my order taken, my food was bought out, and I was given a bill when I finished eating - no more or less than I would expect!

This place is terrible do not go and the staff are rude they tried to charge me for tap water! Avoid at all costs

This place is just awful. AVOID. 1) The service and attitude of management is shocking. We visited with our 2 year old and we were refused tap water in addition to the extortionate drinks we purchased withour meal, only after challenging them 5 times and asking for the manager, did someone come and then said - is it for the child, if it is for the child you should have said. Ordinarlity they do not serve tap water. 2) A couple on another table were paying with a few coppers and the (very rude) waitress came , pointed to the coins and said, we don't take these, when they challenged why, they said, we have no use for them (legal tender???) 3) We should have woalked out initially, when we were asked to sit on a table for four, with a man who was already sat there, bearing in mind these are tiny stools and we have a two year old, they refused to sit us at an empty table for 6. Very very poor. AVOID.

It's my first visiting this restaurant after it moved across the street. The old place used to be a fantastic restaurant with superb food, great service and of fantastic value and now it's all gone. The food is still ok but comes in much smaller portion. While some staff keep a smiley face many of them don't care about your experience at all. They offered no water and mis-placed my order. Some staff simply do their own chit-chat and don't bother to serve unless you yell three times at them. Also there is a compulsory 10% service charge while you get no service at all. Avoid this place and you get much better deal at China Town or Soho, which are both only minutes away.

I couldn't say that this was the worst place I have eaten, but I think it's safe to say I would never spend money nor eat there again. Bad atmosphere, bad service, overpriced and generally awful awful awful. Your money is better spent in Mcdonalds down the road.

Had vegetable noodles and friend had pork and rice. No veg in the noodles just a tiny amount of mushroom - really oily and salty. Friend's dish just salty reheated rice with a few tiny bits of pork - she only had 3 mouthfuls. Commented to staff: basically just ignored. Surprised how bad the food was after reading a good review.

Rude and really bad experience. Go to Chinatown and get a better experience. Not a particular cheap option either.

The no tap water thing is a massive con but the noodles are awesome. The hot & sour la mian was great!
