There's a focus on authenticity at this Turkish restaurant and bar in the backstreets of Spitalfields, much of it coming from a traditional Turkish charcoal grill kept white hot and busy.
Outside of the kebabs, lamb chops, mixed grills, spicy chicken wings and chargrilled sardines, there's a solid selection of mezze. Expect tabbouleh, houmous, taramasalata, falafel and grilled haloumi served with salad. Sides are kept simple – think rice, chips, seasonal veg and suzme yoghurt.
And to drink? It's BYOB, so grab a bottle en-route. There's also Turkish coffee, and it looks as strong as it should.
