  • Rude staff on Birthday drinks ): Time of visit :Monday Nov 12 @ 18:30 In the past we have loved the Paramount. But this Monday night we went for my partners bday drinks and the two dark haired ladies at the bar on Nov 12 where not friendly but instead rude. It only took that one staff member to ruin the image of this bar we have loved in the past. We might return for the view but stay clear of the staff. What would Stephen Fry say?

  • Went there last night for London Cocktail Week. Fantastic views and a good atmosphere. Only had one drink, which was delicious, so can't comment on the food. Loses a star for the rude and pretentious women on the front door. Being snooty with your customers doesn't make you exclusive, it makes you unpleasant.

  • Food incredibly salty and not great quality, snail pace service, good wine list but waiter scoffs at you if you ask him anything. Go for drinks but avoid the restaurant.

  • We had an amazing time here last night. Incredible views (I don't think their website does it justice), good food, prices not bad for views and buzz, great cocktails and a fab maître d' called Giles who showed us around the viewing gallery upstairs and talked me through my initial vertigo - thanks Giles you made our night!

  • We booked to eat here after a theatre show so we arrived very late. The place was buzzing. We were shown to our seats fairly quickly but we weren't at all rushed once we got to our table. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was lovely, small but really, really tasty. The lasagne on one of my dishes was crispy but I forgave them for this because the rest of the meal was so good. The food was pricey though, we had a starter each (there were just two of us), a main each, one drink of beer and a bottle of water. The bill was just under £100. I'm not sure we'd return if there were only two of us again, it would probablly be better with a group because the restaurant was extremely noisy making it very difficult to talk. The view was fantastic so although we didn't get to talk we certainly had plenty to admire.

  • Had a great meal and evening last Saturday night 29/01 for my partners birthday, faultless food, amazing window seat views, good staff, all wonderful. 2 courses & bottle champers £170 so you can make your mind up if that is good value for you for what is a unique location. Busy when we left and bar on upper floor packed and cold so not great but food/restaurant were.

  • Booked in as part of the London Food Festival lunch special for a group of 6.. turned up and decided we would enjoy the views on a few drinks first.. waiters were quite pushy to order drinks and when we ordered less than the number of people we had, was met with sarcastic remarks.. Onto the lunch, they gave us the brunch menu (it was 2pm) and was told that the LFF special was not available on the weekends although it was booked with them and confirmed with my CC and the place was pretty much empty.. They kept pushing us to see the brunch menu which I was not impressed with and again met with sniggering waiters and acrimonious comments. After making a complaint about this, was finally given the LFF menu to order and throughout the ordeal waiters have been the rudest ones I've ever met with simple things like the butter tray thrown briskly onto the table.. View's are great, but not worth the rudest service Ive ever experienced on offer at this pretentious dig..

  • Agree with Anneka, Views great but restaurant is retro but tired. Service very slow and haphazard. Food was West End prices but tired and luke warm in both senses. Portions so tight we're off to the chip shop Maybe it's just because we're back from Chicago but these guys could learn a lot from their high-rise opposite numbers on the other side of the "pond".... Disappointing.

  • Not sure how Time Out gave Paramount 4* - the food was pricey and average at best. A big disappointment. Go to the bar and enjoy the amazing view over a few drinks - just don't waste your money on the food.
