What awful, rude and disrespectful staff spoiling such beautiful views... Only the most arrogant clientele is set off by the most arrogant staff who are racist, agist and poorly trained. Fred Sirieix would have a heart attack here!! Go to Galvin at Windows instead, similar views and wonderful staff. NO star rating.

With the Shard and other glistening new skyscrapers now offering fine dining with views, it’s easy to forget about Centre Point. Since 1967, the concrete edifice has dominated the west end of Oxford Street; but only since 2000 has it had a showcase restaurant on the 33rd floor, with spectacular views on every side across central London. In the evening, the glam factor ramps up, mainly with out-of-towners hitting the West End. During the day, tourists tend to come – an afternoon-tea service was added in 2013.
While the cooking is perfectly good, the dishes can also seem slightly dated, and wouldn’t look out of place in a thrusting 1990s gastrodome. A starter of double-baked cheese soufflé didn’t quite cause the sensation that the Stephen Bull signature dish did two decades previously, but was enjoyable nonetheless. Pan-fried fillet of sea bream was nicely cooked with a crisp skin, but there was no warning of the diced bacon among the heritage carrots in an otherwise meat-free dish. Puddings include a lemon posset (not unlike panna cotta) at a high-rise £9.50. Most à la carte dishes only prove the rule that the higher the elevation of a restaurant, the more vertiginous the pricing, but there are also set meals that offer better value.

Rude staff on Birthday drinks ): Time of visit :Monday Nov 12 @ 18:30 In the past we have loved the Paramount. But this Monday night we went for my partners bday drinks and the two dark haired ladies at the bar on Nov 12 where not friendly but instead rude. It only took that one staff member to ruin the image of this bar we have loved in the past. We might return for the view but stay clear of the staff. What would Stephen Fry say?
Went there last night for London Cocktail Week. Fantastic views and a good atmosphere. Only had one drink, which was delicious, so can't comment on the food. Loses a star for the rude and pretentious women on the front door. Being snooty with your customers doesn't make you exclusive, it makes you unpleasant.
This place was absolute rubbish....it took ages waiting for the lift, the food was cold and the staff were rude....i wouldn't waste your time
Food incredibly salty and not great quality, snail pace service, good wine list but waiter scoffs at you if you ask him anything. Go for drinks but avoid the restaurant.
We had an amazing time here last night. Incredible views (I don't think their website does it justice), good food, prices not bad for views and buzz, great cocktails and a fab maître d' called Giles who showed us around the viewing gallery upstairs and talked me through my initial vertigo - thanks Giles you made our night!
