Took Husband to the Park Terrace for his birthday dinner. Ok, this was initially because I had a nice shiny discount voucher, but on reading the ethos behind the restaurant I was definitely sold on trying the place out. The Park Terrace prides itself on its use of seasonal, British ingredients. The excellent waiting staff will be able to tell you exactly where that juicy slice of lamb rump came from, or who fished for that delicious monkfish tail. The menu for dinner was very extensive (around 10 choices for each course) with an excellent range of dishes including several vegetarian options. The wine list had a good choice without turning into a telephone directory sized tome! And was very reasonably priced to boot. The Chablis we had was crisp yet honeyed and went equally well with Husband's beef fillet starter as it did with my raspberry soufflé dessert! If you are looking for excellent, local British fair in lovely surroundings (overlooking Kensington Gardens) then give the Park Terrace a try. We'll definitely be going back, and no need for a voucher to tempt us this time!
