  • Sooo good. Unbelievable food, better than from Texas! Pulled pork, slaw and beans were tap draw. Picklebacks and bourbon......what a shame its not all year round

  • Agree with a lot of the comments below - seems to be more style over substance.... i.e. flash trailer / cool drinks but crap bread, watery sauce, and ..... wait for it..... non smoked 'stewed' brisket.... have these guys even had 'cue in the states?!? Do your research please....! Saying that - did love the picklebacks.

  • Given that it took two attempts to even find this open, the end result was somewhat anticlimactic. No brisket, ribs or barbecue pork to be seen! The chicken wings, while delicious were impractical as street food and the smoked sausage rather dry and dull. So close but yet so far

  • Wow from Texan to another it's disappointing that you can't tell the beef is salted and not BBQ. No wonder it's not smokey!!! Apparently they don't have the capacity to smoke the brisket too. Pretty awesome though to sell all that great food from a trailer. Shame about the beans but mine were yummy. Maybe smoked brisket might come next. Let's hope so. High five guys, I'm definitely coming back!

  • wierd to see texans get it so wrong. being a bbq chef in the states its not so good to see my boys make such bad assumptions!!! dont let me down guys!!! the brisket is not even BBQ - its clearly stated as salt brisket - brisket brined for a period then poached -hence served with "posh bread" aka rye. Apparently its a capacity reason that brisket cant be smoked. not surprising since it all comes from a tin trailer. the pulled pork is bbq and right up there with the best, as are the dry rub ribs, smoked wings and smoked quail. a great twist on my home cuisine with new flavours- clearly fennel in the rub, cilantro and lemon and cumin in the slaw... and even some kimchi to cut the smoked sausage!!! could do with quicker service but hate to think of the logistics of serving all that food for hundreds of people from a van. great atmosphere and drinks. well done chaps. look forward to your next efforts.

  • Have to agree with Texan in London, brisket HAS to be sliced - not much of a smokey flavour either, a little dry. The beans were like bullets too. Great idea but badly executed - Bodeans has the edge by a long way.

  • Lots of BBQ in my life considering I am from Texas. Its a good concept, but poorly executed at Pitt Cue. A few examples: 1. i had the brisket, which shredded. I would have expected it to be sliced. Flavor of the meat was ok. But nothing to go back for. Bodeans much better. 2. 80% of the box was beans. 3. Real BBQ places would have served white bread not some posh brown loaf 4. Service was a bit slow. 5. Not much BBQ sauce and what was there was watered down.

  • Great idea, the Americana trend in food is starting to take off and I think Pitt Cue & co are well placed to make a good go of it alongside places like Spuntino (which is awesome btw) We went down on Friday evening after work, gasping for a decent ale and some hearty food from the deep south. I was surprised to see barely anyone there. They had a wee band strumming away, great smells in the air but I expected the little area under Waterloo Bridge to be packed. A few yards across the way, EAT and YO! SUSHI were heaving yet Pitt & Cue was dead. Even the fish and chip van next door was kicking their ass. Food-wise, pulled pork was good but not enough in my little box which was swimming in 'slaw but I mopped it up with the great bread (was it a sourdough?) The beans were really good, on a par with my favourite, Boston Beans but the ambiance of sitting under a dirty bridge with the pigeons killed it. They also seemed to have a helluva lot of staff (x6) I think under the bridge on the South Bank was the wrong location. It needs to be somewhere cool and creative - Brick Lane? Goodge St? Also the South Bank is mainly tourists, what do tourists want when they come to London…? Fish & chips! Conclusion: Good food, could have a great atmosphere but was in totally the wrong location.

  • Open times vary? Monday lunch it is closed.Tuesday lunch closed. Saturday afternoon closed. It does not open until 1 pm at other times. Four visits so far and not found it open. They are clearly not very interested in attracting customers!
