  • Went here for the first time tonight. Shared a starter of Prosciutto croquettes which could have done with some type of dipping sauce. I had the Radicchio pine nuts and Gorgonzola pizza. It really needed something like some balsamic to sweeten it a little. My husband had the veal meatball pizza which was ok but a little salty. Service was efficient but not really friendly. A little overpriced for what it is. Probably wont't go back.

  • Agree with the previous comment about turfing you out. We were invited to finish our wine at the bar, having occupied our table for barely 90 minutes (and having ordered three courses). This attitude is really annoying and although I received an apology when I complained on the way out, it has put me off returning. I'll go to Nuraghe in tufnell park for my pizza next time.

  • As a local resident I was excited when this restaurant first opened and have enjoyed the consistently good food for the past few months. More troubling and even off-putting is a new policy turfing you out after an hour and a half. For me an hour and a half is insufficient for a relaxing meal. I think it's unreasonable to put paying customers under this time pressure and the manner in which the staff enforce it borders on arrogance. I suggest the management reconsiders this policy as it has certainly put me off returning and I imagine it will have a similar effect on others

  • Not sure I would go back: the salt cod for my starter had not been soaked sufficiently in fresh water to remove the excess salt and was inedible. The pizzas are nice, but do not have a true thin Italian crispy base. Service was excellent, though.

  • Outrageously over-priced mediocre pizzas. If you have £51 to spend on a meal for 3, you can get a good sushi set-meal at Sakura with VERY fresh fish, tempura seafood, soup, rice and pudding. £51 at Pizza East will get you flour, water and a handful of cheese and 3 salad leaves.

  • How can Time Out rate the pizzas? This hipster joint served my partner with a pizza so salty he was unable to eat more than a third, and mine was served with a soggy base beneath a heap of unseasoned canned tomatoes and flavourless cheese. Service was definitely attentive but too much so - a waitress came across - literally - every 5 minutes or less task about the meal, and annoyingly, every time waitress walked past the table, they would top up our wine glass and water, even after we asked them not to. Gratin fly annoying. We walked ou before ordering desserts, and went to get gelato instead from the fantastic new Italian down the road
