  • I've been in many Brazilian Rodizio in London and abroad as my husband is from Sao Paulo but I've never been so disappointed as today at Point Brazil. Just the idea of calling that little buffet bar a Rodizio is highly misleading and is offensive in regards of the Brazilian culture and food. First of all Rodizio means literally rotation and in the specific case of a Brazilian restaurant it should be meat rotation. Meat rotation implies variety but we had been served only one cut of beef, one type of sausage, two types of chicken and one type of pork. Beef selection it's a must and offering an old, hard and overcooked beef shaped as picanha has been a huge letdown. No chicken hearts, no alcatra, no fraudinha, no costela just to name some, and the salad buffet was really poor, missing some other very important dishes like mandioca frita, banana frita and pao de queijo. The atmosphere was awful, the music was really loud in order to cover the constant chatting of members of staff which appeared perfectly comfortable at home instead of being working. I went to the toilet downstairs and another waiter was playing football with two kids in an empty hall. Now, I don't mind people being lively, chatting and happy, but it really seemed to me that those guys were totally careless about customers and they actually made me feel like we were unwanted guests disturbing them at their home. Ok, so one waiter was busy with football, another one sat having a drink on a back table in the kitchen area -perfectly visible to customers, and the same person that was after the meat was the meat waiter. How could someone possibly look after the BBQ if he has to run around the tables? The meat chef is really important and is quite worrying to see him serving the tables instead of looking after the meat. I found all this totally unprofessional and I don't understand why the other waiters just couldn't bother to go around and help. That has been the worse Rodizio of my life and I wish they never open that place. I can't forget how ugly and desolated the BBQ area looked like, it spread sadness all over. If they don't have passion for food and they clearly can't even attempt a bland imitation of a Rodizio then they should have the honesty to take off that Brazilian flag and they should probably change business immediately. But some people are just so ignorant, there's no end to their ignorance! They shouldn't be allowed not even to boil an egg, let alone work in customer service. Shame on them!

  • The restaurant has been rebranded/renamed as Point Brazil Went here with some friends on a Saturday. We were on a promotional voucher which was for 2 Espentinhas with sides, salad and a Caprinha cocktail. The restaurant was busy and very very cramped. We were wedged against the backs of the chairs of the table behind us. Service was very slow, with no hint of a smile from any of the staff, quite rude also. The cocktails finally arrived after about 20 mins, if there was any alcohol in mine it must have evaporated on the way over to me from the bar. We were only allowed to get our salad and sides once the meat (i used the term loosely) arrived. The steak I ordered had the consistency of shoe leather and was dry as the desert sand. It seemed that for anyone on a voucher deal they brought out the scrag ends/left overs for you to eat, the chicken was no better. We did see some skewers of meat being served at other tables (they must have been paying full price, more fool them) but that meat when sliced looked totally overcooked and dry also. In short. this place had no redeeming features at all and ranks as probably the worst restaurant myself and my party had ever had the misfortune to visit, and as a 42 year old man, you can imagine I have been to quite a few restaurants. AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!!!

  • I don't really understand who decide about this stars??? I ate "churrasco do Brasil" - no Brasil :) - and I think this place does a very good service for all SW londoners and brazilian lovers like me :D Picanha is the best cut they have but all the food is really well cooked and tasty. Not to miss the acai juice! Perfect while enjoy a Sunday afternoon in the sun before a riverside walk. I give 4 stars ;) Another great place not yet listed here is Caipirinha Spiritual in Chalk Farm. Very good food and large selection of cachaca
