  • Fantastic food. Try the beetroot side dish it's absolutely delicious. Their fish dishes are equally excellent. The atmosphere is slightly 1970's but the great food makes up for it.

  • I went here with my daughter, we ordered poppadoms raita and salad to start with, raita was bitter and bubbling, we did send that back,we ordered lamb curry, spinach, and cauliflower, spinach was dry and chewy, the cauliflower was battered with black "mush" inside, No water was offered , No wonder the place was empty. Then to top it all tried to evercharge us, Im a caterer and have been all over India, never had such lousy meal.

  • Went to this restaurant last night having read glowing reviews of it. The food was appalling. Zero atmosphere as only 3 tables were taken. The paratha was uncooked and leathery. The dosa and accompanying chutney tasteless. The rasam, which I usually love, was unlike anything I have ever tasted.I think the food had been made less spicy for a western palette. If you want to try good south Indian food I would head to Tooting or Wembley where the food is far superior.

  • Not sure I understand Time Out's rating... seemed to be a very positive review. Why two stars?

  • It's interesting, isn't it, that a 'dog-eared' appearance somehow makes the food taste even better when you're served something delicious. Perhaps it's the surprise factor. Whatever it is, at Ragam, the surprise factor goes through the roof as the food is genuinely good. As in bloody good. And I like that. The dog-eared appearance works for me as it means that the unknowing will continue to walk by and I can generally always get a table. Oh wait, why am I posting this? Don't go. It's horrible ;-)

  • They've smartened the place up since this review was written, separate tables etc, but it's still extremely good value and as delicious as food in a much more up market gourmet restaurant. Can't wait to go back.

  • Great place!! But don't believe the bit about unlicensed, no corkage, and save yourself the embarrassment we faced when we walked in with beer and wine only to find they are fully licensed!!
