Part of the same family as ASK, but this swish basement branch of Zizzi exuded more warmth (literally) than its sister could muster, and seemed to be run on more professional lines. The warmth might have been illusory after all, a huge wood-burning stove dominates the room and hundreds of cut logs are set into the walls, each sawn end bearing a message from jolly tourists. Our pizzas were good, a goats cheese bruschetta yummy and the salads fresh and well presented. We were also happy to polish off a fantastic pistachio ice-cream for pudding; the chocolate version was gorgeous too. Service was patchy.
