The transformation of the dedicated kiddy room into an eating area dominated by a large screen shows that B&B has grown up a little. Not too much – there are still toys, children's meals and high chairs – but the children aren't the only pebbles on this beach. The front area of the café is presided over by a perspiring chef and sidekicks, flipping organic hamburgers, constructing salads, whizzing smoothies and shouting at the waiting staff. As ‘healthy' fast food is the selling point, we opted for the ‘halloumicado' burger, a toasted bun filled with seared halloumi cheese, avocado and plenty of sliced salad items, washed down with a smoothie (the orange and strawberry was very refreshing). We passed on side orders of lecithin granules in favour of marinated olives and guacamole.
