London's best review, food and drink news
This serene café located off the main hulk of the Camden Arts Centre and just across the way from Finchley Road Station is a great place to sit, relax and bask in the surroundings for hours. Staff are quick to recommend items from a menu which consists mainly of sandwiches, salads and a home-made soup of the day. This is one of the most pleasant cafés in north London, especially if (weather permitting) you're able to dine outside in the gardens. There were some glitches, though, on our visit: our pastrami and dill pickle sandwich arrived without pickle, and with a chunk of tuna fish (!) instead. A rogue slip-up, no doubt.
