A menu introduced in 2006 includes unusual variations on the beefburger theme, such as teriyaki sauce and stilton cheese. We wondered if FBC had lost its way on the path to hamburger heaven? Not in our experience, as the medium-cooked patty is still just right, the bun's firm, and details such as the cheese and lettuce leaves are top quality. The chips are made from real potatoes (you can see the skins) and are cooked just-so. We're less certain about some of the side orders, though: the onion rings are the size and colour of doughnuts, while the sweet chilli and sour cream' dip is no more than a dollop of sour cream with a squirt of sweet chilli sauce on top.
