London's best review, food and drink news
Ease past the ground-floor throng of takeaway punters to the mezzanine, where tiled flooring, benches and glass-topped tables are soon forgotten when you see the menu. This vast list ranges from borscht to spag bol, via Chinese rice and noodle dishes, barbecue meats and snacks (such as cold slices of boneless pig’s trotter served with shredded jellyfish). The ‘hawker soup noodles’ deal is a good one: choose your noodles, sauce and three toppings for £5.80. Drink iced bubble tea (sesame with milk is recommended, despite looking like mud). Service is fast and friendly.
