London's best review, food and drink news
This fashionable Knightsbridge restaurant remains enduringly popular, and to some extent it’s possible to understand why. The rooms are attractive, and the welcome is friendly even if you’re not a famous fashion designer putting extraordinary effort into every ingredient and every basic preparation, this lack of care grates – especially when prices are so high. Service was hesitant and slow. The wine list offers little hope if you can’t spend at least £40 a bottle. San Lorenzo’s regulars clearly can afford those prices. The rest of us can do better elsewhere.
