A year on since the original opened in Carnaby Street, Alan Yau’s modern Chinese noodle bar has undergone a few changes – gone is the £3.50 flat rate for all dishes, but even with a slight price increase (with dishes now toeing the £5-£6 mark), there is still a remarkably wallet-friendly meal to be had. A few changes have been seen in the menu as well, with some initial duds (dan dan mian) taken off, and some new dishes added (rib eye beef lao mian, at a whopping £7.50; monk’s vermicelli, a vegetarian noodle dish; Chinese lettuce with fermented beancurd). We still rate the Taiwanese beef noodles (though it’s taken away the texture-rich beef tendons, possibly due to diners’ unfamiliarity with its gelatinous character), with rich stock and chopstick-tender meat.

I am a regulat at Cha Cha Moon off Carnaby St and love it. Its cheap, its original and its good.
Big thumbs up to Cha Cha Mooli and the pancake.
Even with the new prices, you can eat well and until you burst for under £15
I am not super opinionated about many places, but I really do not rate Cha Cha moon- the noodles are always glutonous, prices have literllay doubled in the last few months and you can't swap noodles around if you want udon noodles rather than vermicelli (suggesting it's all pre-prepared). Boring vegetarian options too. I've been here twice, but have put my foot down- am not going again!!!
