You’d be hard pressed to miss The Yellow House in Surrey Quays. Painted, unsurprisingly, bright yellow, the restaurant is a beacon in an area where great, independent restaurants are a rarity. Small yet perfectly cosy, the interior is a more subdued affair with an abundance of dark woods and deep red walls – a relaxing feel that’s kept a steady stream of regular admirers coming back. European dishes are on offer from a weekly changing menu, but the pizza menu is also worth a look as it’s a specialty. Examples might include a pan-fried fillet of beef with pumpkin ravioli, roulade of braised oxtail and jus, or a superb spicy aubergine pizza.

What a beautiful surprise! Was visiting the are to shop at the Decathlon store and found this unique gem. Friendly staff, great ambience and food to die for, all at a good price. I had the house burger, truly tasty; my friend had the wood oven pizza, she said it wss the best pizza in town. Will definitely recommend this restaurant and be back.
