Tucked away inside the impressive Exhibit complex on Balham Station Road, this stylish restaurant is wedged between a boutique cinema and a buzzy cocktail bar. The Exhibit serves hearty bistro-style fare, and is ideal for pre-movie meals, business lunches and after-work drinks with friends. The restaurant has a moody converted-warehouse kind of vibe and is decked out with exposed brick walls, blackboard menus, plenty of candles and designer chairs. The place attracts a well-heeled Balham crowd, and favourites from the modern Euro menu include the roasted duck with glazed autumn vegetables and orange sauce, and the signature hot chocolate fondant with vanilla ice cream. The wine list is an eclectic assortment from Argentina to South Africa.
