A refuge in the middle of Camberwell Church Street, Safa serves some of the best Indian dishes in the area. It looks reassuringly modern - black armless chairs, banquette seating, smart lampshades - and it is. The mains menu is cleanly divided into lamb, chicken, biriyani, tandoori, fish and seafood, and vegetarian, complemented by the usual condiments (papadums can be plain or spicy). All taste terrific, no doubt thanks to the head chef (who you can watch at work in his open plan kitchen) who has vowed to stay true to the origin of each traditional dish. The results are flavours and pleasures you'd normally expect from home made cooking. Keep room for the vanilla ice cream. Safa is one of only a handful of restaurants licensed to deliver alcohol to your home.

Attractive and takes pride in my appearance and style. I'm relaxed with a easy going sense of humour. Always looking on the positive side of things...

Good food always of a consistent standard. The restaurant is not very atmospheric but it's not bad and the onion bhaji's and tandoori mixed grill are seriously good.
