  • Lambourne Bar & Grill boasts a great location on Wimbledon’s bustling Broadway – just opposite the Polka Theatre. The interior is casually elegant, with smart black furniture, tiled floors and denim blue walls; while the atmosphere is similarly laid-back and unpretentious. Chef Stephane cooks in an impressive open kitchen and his menu offers a fresh and seasonal mix of pub classics and more refined restaurant-style options. Popular dishes include beer battered haddock with mushy pea and handcut chips; tagliatelle with sweet red peppers, goat’s cheese and mushrooms; and roasted shoulder of lamb with mash to share. Ideal for Happy Hour drinks, dinner with friends, or Sunday Roasts for the whole family; the Lambourne offers a relaxed yet stylish dining experience – whatever the occasion.

The Lambourne is a great place to meet for a quick drink. It falls down on dinner though. I have been for dinner three times and the shortest interval between ordering and starters arriving was 1 hour 10 minutes. The food is good when you get it, but they really need to sort out how long you have to wait, there were only 2 other tables with diners!

Well, I might be slightly biased, but I'd say because I'm a fun, well-travelled, thoughtful, grounded, social, open-minded and hard-working guy...
