  • Set inside a former grocer’s shop in Barnsbury, Islington; Fig is a stylish and contemporary restaurant run by Danish chef and owner Christoffer Hruskova. His modern European menu focuses on seasonal produce sourced in Britain, but flavours from Scandinavia and inspirations from his travels are also reflected in his bold flavour combinations. Diners can enjoy beautifully presented dishes like button onion veloute; Gressingham duck breast and leg with pan-fried foie gras and baby leeks; and hazelnut soup with pear sorbet. For wine connoisseurs, Fig’s thoughtfully compiled list is a real treat with over 60 wines from all over the world on offer. The restaurant itself is a comfortably elegant space, with ambient lighting creating the perfect setting for romantic dinners and low-key gatherings alike.
