Time Out has teamed up with tastelondon to offer you a fantastic one month free trial
Bright and cheerily decorated, Small & Beautiful comes close to living up to its name with its stripped wood furniture and intricately tiled foor. The food – an international mish-mash of dishes – is hit and miss, but prices are incredibly low, especially if you opt for the £5.50 lunch deal. Roasted pepper paté and smoked chicken salad worked well; deep-fried squid was a little too rubbery and chicken wings were soaked by an over-sweet tomato-based sauce. Mains of pork escalope, grilled chicken breast and ‘puffy duck' (roasted duck in a tasty puff pastry) were generously portioned but middling in quality. Although not the richest food experience out there, a trip to Small & Beautiful will provide you with a decent enough meal, a reasonable bill, and friendly, attentive service.
