A genuine welcome from owners Tony and Thelma Kularbwong, plus tasty home-style Thai cooking, are the hallmarks of this ever-popular caff, whose basic decor and location away from Leytonstone's main drag haven't prevented it becoming a staunch favourite in these parts. The menu is a roll call of familiar flavours, but the standard is high and there's no skimping on authentic ingredients such as pea aubergines in the gang keow-wan (green curry). Pad talay (stir-fried mixed seafood) was crammed with fishy morsels; all veg tasted fresh and crunchy. There's a small specials board from which one dish each year is added to the main menu the kind of quirky touch which Singburi's devotees appreciate. Prices have risen slightly in the last year but the BYO policy remains.
