London's best review, food and drink news
Expect to see diners staggering out into the street clutching their swollen stomachs at Deptford's take on the ubiquitous Chinese greasy spoon equivalent. The food tends towards the oily, but it's more about quantity than quality at this canteen-style Chinese eaterie, with the massive portions on offer spilling so far over the sides of plates that customers waddle out leaving tables that look like a Birmingham motorway intersection. The all-you-can-eat buffet is a cut above Soho counterparts such as Mr Wu, with the unlimited supply of a pleasantly soft salt and pepper squid making it worth the money alone (£5.50-£6.95 depending on when you visit). Be warned though, they're often in no rush to top up the dishes, so don't order it if you're in a hurry.
