This real local draws equally real locals for a rustic Italian experience. The menu is chock full of pizzas and pastas (the main attraction for regulars), with a smattering of fish and meat dishes, and an interesting specials boards. To start we enjoyed a salmon salad and a flavourful parmigiana di melanzane with lashings of mozzarella. After this hearty and promising opening, our pizza was a little average (excellent base, let down by the quality of some toppings). A prawn pasta special was better: subtly zesty. Did La Luna shine? The decor is very Italian (we even forgot we were on Walworth Road), as was the service: after a charming welcome, we were rather forgotten about, waiting longer between courses than fellow diners who had arrived after us. Frustrating.
