  • Little Star

    Budget choice
  • Twinkle it does, by the glow of candles and fairy lights, creating a warm and cosy atmosphere that’s at once romantic (good for a tête-a-tête) and welcoming (good for families and groups of friends). The feel is initally French, with bistro-esque murals spanning the walls, but the menu is rather more eclectic European –we’ve sampled classic French (an excellent duck confit), but there’s also plates with German, Italian and Spanish influences. Some defy geographical representation at all – such as a very good steak topped with aubergine, portobello mushroom, feta and chilli. The portions seem to be in inverse correlation to the price – which is a very good thing, indeed. Look out for the specials, which can, oddly enough, be cheaper than the normal selections.

This is one of my favorite restaurants in the whole of London. It is an absolutely delightful place to eat and I would highly recommend people visit Willesden just to try the food here.

I went there a couple of weeks ago and am going back tomorrow night. I had the best steak I've had IN MY LIFE for the measly price of £7. It also came with a delicious serving of aubergine, mushroom and chips. Everything on that plate was absolutely delicious. Service was excellent - really fast. I can't recommend this place more highly.

Went to Little Star a couple of weeks ago. Very impressed, had a mascarpone risotto as a starter cost £3.50 and the serving was HUGE. My partner choose from the set menu which is £6.95 for 2 course, great value although not as delicious as the specials! The house wine is ok especially as its only £5 for half litre. Brilliant value, so good were going again tonight....

Went to Little Star on 24/4/09 for dinner with my husband, and it was excellent! We each had 3 courses, with steak as the main (delicious) and our bill was only £35.. amazing! A great find!

They have obviously got their act together. Went last night - food and service excellent. Starter, main course and pudding all good - reasonable bill.
