Little Star's charms are many – the cosy, café atmosphere, the friendly staff and the easy-on-the-wallet prices. It was therefore a shame that each of the dishes we ordered were, at best, middling and, at worst, rather poorly put together. Our mains arrived with alarming haste and the Italian sausage in red wine sauce with sauté potatoes and green beans was a huge disappointment – the sauce achingly sweet and the vegetables soggy. The seafood linguine was more successful, the pasta al dente and the mussels and prawns in healthy abundance. The meal was salvaged by a decent ownmade tiramisu and the miniscule bill that followed.
