Marcelle has been running her restaurant for 13 years now. It is still very much a one-woman show, with this formidable Lebanese lady doing all the cooking herself in the large kitchen that occupies the rear of the one modest room. The menu is a laminated card of 36 meze, plus standard grilled meat mains. Portions are generous: the falafel are the size of tennis balls, and chicken livers come in a mountainous heap, swimming in a rich gravy far too good to leave (the dish comes with a heap of bread for mopping up said gravy). Three or four meze make more than a meal for two, so order sparingly. Mains include a highly recommended stuffed lamb', which isn't stuffed but baked, cut thinly, layered on cinnamon rice and topped with sliced pistachios and almonds. Note that the restaurant is cash or cheque only, with the nearest ATM a 20-minute walk away on Kensington High Street.

I'm uncomplicated polite and friendly, I really enjoy meeting new people and trying new things. I'm based in the countryside and I'm involved in...
by far the best Lebanese food i have eaten in London. amazing food and really friendly staff/owner.. highly recommended for any occasion.
Really great Mediterranean food, delightful service, great prices and surprisingly good Lebanese wine (apologies to all true Lebanese wine lovers who know how great their wines are). The restaurant is popular with the local French community who know great food when they taste it.
Madame Marcelle combines great Lebanese classics with French style. You can even persuade her to cook a fantastic dinner party for you and go around and collect it just before your guests arrive.
It's got to be a much better choice for a romantic dinner date - or if you are visiting Olympia with the family you can enjoy a fantastic meal without emptying your wallet at Pizza Express for....... a pizza.
